Function: `trim_trailing`

  trim characters off the end of a string

Examples:

  trim_trailing('    SOMETHING    ', ' ')
  -- Result: "    SOMETHING"

  trim_trailing(',a,b,c,d,', ',')
  -- Result: ",a,b,c,d"

  trim_trailing('    SOMETHING    ', 'nope')
  -- Result: "    SOMETHING    "
